"Work-at-home-mums"...
Sometimes known as a "Mum-preneur"
wish to have a work life balance.  If you are someone who already enjoys, or would like to start enjoying the quality of life that a 'lifestyle' business can bring then read on...

The Work At Home Mum's Initiate was set up to provide support and encouragement for people who wish to run a business from their home

Cutting through the jargon... 'we understand' and can work through it with you!

In the current climate of redundancies and a slowing economy our focus is on encouraging people who can offer their skills or learn new ones in order to use as a 'Trade' to support themselves and their family.  Ideal for one parent families or parents on a low income who wish to stay at home whilst their children grow up, and also people who are housebound but still wish to run a successful business from home, those on benefits may still be entitled to receive support whilst the business is establishing itself and you may also be eligible for a start up grant or a loan*.   If it all 'feels' a little bit scary, well, thats because it is, in the words of Ness on the show Gavin & Stacey: "I won't lie to you..." change is never the easy option, but, everyone starts at the beginning.  Just think what you could achieve if you tried!

Members of WAHMI are introduced to a network of likeminded individuals who are in the process of setting up or are currently running their own lifestyle business from home. WAHMI offers a unique holistic support, 'hand holding' through the process that seems a little scary and overwhelming, enabling people to take the steps that are legally required in order to enjoy the quality of life a home business can bring.  The hints and tips are invaluable, some people have the passion, some the ability, some the inclination, WAHMI offers you support while you drive forward, onward and upward.
